Linnea meets Tsetsgee who knows all about cheese in Mongolia and explains that the biggest challenge is to get people to eat more cheese as Mongolian are more interested in milk and yogurt than Cheese. Despite the fact that two third of Mongolian still live nomadically and make cheese all summer, it’s more a way of preserving valuable fat and protein in milk rather than making a delicious cheese. Nevertheless the popularity of foreign imports and growing popularity of American-Italian cuisine (such as pizza and spaghetti) makes Mongolian more curious about cheese and aware that not all cheese have to be “dry, tough and bitter”.
